Jemez Springs Domestic
Water Association
Effective Immediately
Jemez Springs Domestic Water Association is requesting voluntary water conservation from all customers due to increased water usage and current impacts to local irrigation water availability.
Recent flooding has damaged the acequia system that provides irrigation water within our community. Restoration and repairs will take time. While we recognize the importance of irrigation water for gardens and other agricultural needs, potable treated drinking water from JSDWA cannot replace irrigation supplies for extensive outdoor use.
JSDWA's water system is designed to provide safe and reliable drinking water for domestic needs and limited commercial use. We are asking customers to voluntarily reduce nonessential water consumption to help maintain adequate water storage and system reliability.
Please limit:
- Outdoor watering and lawn irrigation
- Avoid washing vehicles, driveways, sidewalks, patios, or other paved areas
- Repair leaking faucets, toilets, and water lines promptly.
